11th Annual DISOP Conference held in Davao City

DISOP Philippines conducted its 11th Annual Conference in Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City last October 19-23, 2009 with the following objectives:

  1. To actively share the achievements from each project to date and the best practices it has experienced;
  2. To enhance and further build networking and linkaging among partners;
  3. To visit and interact with farmers and POs of DLRLCCDFIs project;
  4. To know more about diSop.ph website and learn to post on the diSop blogspot;
  5. To understand what kind of pictures to post in the blog and how to describe or put captions in the picture;
  6. To create a functional and interactive e-group among partners to effectively share knowledge about several experiences in the implementation of our respective projects.


Mr. John Baring of CLAD, Inc., Calubi-an, Leyte present the highlights and accomplishment of their association during the 11th Annual DISOP Conference on October 20, 2009 in Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.

One of the sites visited by the DISOP partners during the field visit in Davao del Norte on October 21, 2009 was this horticultural production enterprise owned by Mrs. Tedelita Jaya. Mrs. Jaya, member of DLEA Association, was able to access loan from said association to boost capital greatly increase the business income from 6,000 to 8,000 pesos. The enterprise now engage in production of ornamental plants, fruit trees, bonzai and other plants for sale.
